Had an awesome Halloween

Just some updates on us: I (Brian) got a new job and have been working around 70 - 80 hours a week as a "depth artist" doing stereoscopic conversion. So what that means is I'm the one who takes 2d movies and makes them 3d. It's pretty sick. Right now I'm working on Gullivers Travels with Jack Black, but we got some way cooler Marvel films in the pipeline I'm gonna be working on after that. Jeff just moved down to Long Beach and is psyched on that. We have a gig this friday at Kilkenny's with Badfish but it's probably gonna be an acoustic type thing with me and Brendan because Jeff is actually going on tour with C Money and the Players. We are psyched for him. C Money is from Slightly Stoopid and they are going on tour with The Expendables. Pass out some Bear Cd's man! Halloween was sick. Spent some time in a awesome graveyard, went bar hopping, played some Dead Rising 2 and watched the Human Centepede. All around good Hallows Eve. As far as music goes, we are trying to get some marketing going for the new album and work on some new material for the next one. We'll keep you updated!

About to set off a chain of awesome events

Check out this new song I'm working on! This was the first time I sang it so it's a bit rough but I think it's gonna turn out well. Also I'm psyced about my new job. I'm gonna be working 80 hours next week at a studio called Stero D converting major motion pictures to 3d. Big money. Got alot of exciting new plans and looking foreword to our CD release party next thursday!!!

Peace!

This is how I write songs. Start of with some ideas, kinda mumble out some melodies, see what happens. Usually I record it then play it back and fill in the missing parts. I really like the guitar work in this blues jam I was foolin with.

Oct 5th

Here's the flyer for our CD release show at Club Good Hurt Oct 21st. The show is 5 dollars at the door but it's free if you're on the guest list. So if you plan on coming let us know and we will put you on there. You can send us a message via facebook or just email me brian_whipp@yahoo.com. Put "GUEST LIST" in the subject.

Just got back from a GREAT trip to Tuscon AZ!

Here's a video from the show!

It's a miracle that we even made it. Thursday and Friday were nuts. We were planning on leaving thursday. Thursday morning I had to get up early for a job interview in the valley and on the way back to Downtown my friend who got me the interview asked me if I could take her to the airport. So I went over and picked her up and drove her out to LAX. I think we arrived 30 min before her flight took off. Then from there I went and had lunch with my mom who was in town for the week and in the area. At lunch I got a text from Mel, my friend, saying that she missed her flight. :( After a quick lunch I had to race over to pick up Mike and take him to the DMV to take his driver test for his drivers liscence. We made it in the nick of time. Even though Mike didn't pass the test I was totally psyched that he pulled away from the DMV and actually took the test. We have gone 4 times to take the test and had to wait for months because the freaking DMV kept messing up the appointment. The last time we went we actually were in line for the driving test, and we didn't realize the car lights were on for the whole hour we were waiting in line, and the car ran out of battery when we were next in line and we had to jump the car right there in front of the whole DMV staff, and they pretty much told us to fuck off and that Mike couldn't take the test. But I know he'll nail it next time. We went over to Mikes for a beer where we realized that Mel had left all her keys in my car. At the same time, I got a message from Brendan saying that he wasn't feeling good and thought he would get sick if he made the trip. Jeff was already out in AZ and was ready to freak out because we had so many people out there geared up for the show, but Brendan decided to try to go out and play the show anyway. So we headed over to Mel's to give her back her keys, and she was pretty upset about missing her flight so we hung out for a while and cheered her up then went to Hollywood to pick up Brenden. By now we were getting to rush hour and it was a total bitch getting back to my place downtown. Once we finally got there I hastilly packed didn't realize the only shirt I brought was a grey Walt Disney Internet Group Shirt, and I forgot my cell phone and my power chord for my Guitar Effects Pedal. Also, by this time it was 5:30 and the CD duplication place we were supposed to get to to pick up our new CD's closed at 6. I tried to call them to tell them we were gonna be late but they had already left the office. So we jumped in the car and decided to head over there anyway. Getting out of LA sucked because of the traffic, and we finally found the CD place again without directions at 6:45. Miraculously, there were a bunch of guys standing around the front door waiting to close and we got our CDs! I couldn't believe it when I saw the first one and signed for them. It really set in that we had finally did it, after 2 and a half years of hard work. The albums look beautiful. The word of the day was CLUTCH.

And the next day too! We woke up and Brendan was feeling really sick. He wanted to play the show but was puking and feeling really bad. Jeff and I went to the store and got him some electrolytes but when we got back he said he wanted to go to the hospital. This is a reoccuring thing and he said that when it happens he gets really dehydrated and when we gets an IV of fluids he feels better. So we took him to the hospital with about 4 and a half hours till we were supposed to play. We waited around forever for Brendan to get in and then Mike and I had skateboard races in the parking lot. Brendan got out of the hospital a little after 9 and felt immediately better. It was crazy. When he went in he looked like death and he came out totally reenergized. We raced over to the reggae shop and got up here and kicked out an awesome set! We were going to trade off half hour sets with the Tone Monkeys then do a jam, and after our first set I took Brendan to get some gatorade and stuff, and he immediately started throwing up again. So I took him to a hotel and he went back to the hospital the next day and is actually still in there right now was of Sunday night so please everyone say a prayer for him to feel better and give him a get well phone call. He's a real trooper and it was really awesome that he played that first set. We didn't get any video of it, but we found out later that the whole show was recorded so we will get some audio dubs of that soon.

After I got Brendan to the hotel I went back and we played another half hour with the drummer from the Tone Monkeys who did a real good job filling in. It was a real good time. Thanks to Brendan especially for making the show. Also thanks to the Tone Monkeys for putting the show together, the 12 tribes reggae shop, and all our friends and family for coming out!

PEACE!

"We are playing in a castle tonight!"

Yo this is a video of our gig the other night in Pomona at Friar Tucks with Orgainica AKA the Movement. They are an insane band, I'll put up some videos of them playing too. Got to say thanks for booking the show guys, you rock. And to the pretty lady who was sitting with me at the end of the night - feel free to drop me a line.

Also wanna say the Roundup gig last weekend in SF was sick. Thanks to all the friends and family that came out to support us and give us tips. We set a new record of how much money we made at a show, and had a sick day in the city. We chilled on Haight street. Had a few beers on the cliffs at Ocean beach. Saw a sick female jazz band at Jupiter in Berkeley and hung out on telegraph, then went to my friend Jeff's party at his art loft. It was a sick time.

"A Beer On Top Of A Car"

This was after another Stinky Pinky show I think. We were up again till like 7 am at Josh's Lockout in Torrence. He said they actually got HR to come out to one of their shows and he was gonna sing Leaving Babylon, but he just stood in the audience and didn't get up on stage or anything. Wierdo.
