FUCK YEAH

Firstly let me appologize for not updating this byach in over a month. Things have been kindof chaotic. But that shit aside we played our first gig in many many months Friday night at Kilkenny's. It was an awesome show and an even better time. After us was "THE HALLWAY BALLERS" http://www.myspace.com/hallwayballers

They were really tight. They were a 4 piece: drums, bass, electric, and acoustic gutiar. The acoustic was a tight addition to the sound, and the guitarist ran it through a wah wah which sounded really cool. There were some killer bass solos in there and the vocal harmonies were great. Good job guys, great set.

Kilkenny's is a great spot because there's alot of stuff to do there. After the Hallway Ballers I went out and walked around and found a killer lil chinese food place that was open late and ran into a cool dude who sold me a ten spot of green. We rolled up a J and I went back in to check out Stinky Pinky. They really laid it down too. They got a good mix of punk riffs and really skanky reggae.

After the show we went out to Pinky's pad for the afterparty and had a Killer jam and talked about the nutritional value of drinking water.

Great night all around. Thanks to everyone envolved. Hallway Ballers, Stinky Pinky, Kilkenny's, Everyone who came, Brooks, Megan, Katie, Tyler, Shawn VO, Mike Coyne, Dan Wolfe, Enviormental Science Girl, Pricilla, The naked Dude, The birthday boy, and anyone else I'm forgetting.

In other news, we made a bunch of CD's and they look hella tight. Check it:

We were originally gonna just put on our newest 5 studio tracks, but we kept additing to it and it ended up being 19 tracks. Here's the rundown:

1. Mozart

2. Wylee Stylee

3. Venice Rock

4. Beach Song

5. Slow Jam

These are the first songs we finished in the SSL studio with Rob Money, they are recorded on HD pro tools and sound really really really good.

6. Hot Reggae Dub (FILLER JAM)

7. Sorry Charlie

8. Jellyfish

These two classics we recorded a few years back with Rob at his studio in NOHO at the playastream place.

9. Jungle Hell Rap #1

Track written sung and produced by Brenden

10. Skanky Holiday Jam

I think this is my best recorded guitar solo of my life (so far)

11. Guns

Cover of Guns of Brixton, Vlad did the beats on this one in reason.

12. Beach Song Live on Kxlu

13. Xanadu Live at the Airliner

From our second ever live show. The audio was ripped from someones video camera.

14. Living Proof Jam

15. Roughmix_v2

16. Far Love

17. Mozart Acoustic

18. Jellyfish live Kxlu

19. Reggae Lobster

Each CD has an original stencil cover art made personally by us. If you want one contact us on myspace. They are $12 plus shipping and handleing. Who knows they may be collectors items one day, we only printed 100 of these CD covers, and next time we print ones they will be different.

Coming up we have the gig next weekend in San Diego, its gonna be sick. And in the more distant future we have the show at the Venice Bistro on September 18th. I got a really tight band all the way from Florida to come out for it. They are called Part One Tribe. Check them out http://www.myspace.com/partonetribe

Peace and Love friends.

BACK WITH A VENGANCE

I love the new banner. Isn't it god damn beautifuL? So good news. We are back. And we got GIGS! We are going to be playing at Kilkenny''s on the Redondo Pier on July 10th. This is a great spot and we've played there several times. It is always a crazy night because I always have so much fun I don't pay attention to how much I drink and then /// well... just come and find out!

We also are going to be going on the road! We are going to be playing a gig in San Diego on July 19th so if any of you are fans and live down there, this is a rare chance to see us! Who knows, if we meet some cool people and find some tight venues, we might try to get down there more often, so come party with us! The show is gonna be at a big park and it's put on by a company called GOOD LIFE CLOTHING aka GLIFE. Their shit is sick so check it out.

Heres some tracks to listen to from our most recent jams.

Shop Around - originally by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles

This one is in its really early stages but you might enjoy it. If you wanna hear it when it's done come to the show!!!

Controlled by Aliens

This one was just me ranting about how I am controlled by aliens, then we wrote a punk song about it. Yeah, I could go on rants for hours about aliens, quantum physics, buddhism, reality... I swear I'm going to become a paranoid schizophrenic one day. I'll write a blog about it sometime.

Come On Out To Hollywood

I've been living out in Hollywood the past month. This is a rap song I wrote about living here. It's pretty fun and exciting. Way different from Venice Beach though. The house I live in is like a freakin sit com. I live with a producer and a boxer, there are 3 girls next door, 3 gay guys downstairs, and another appartment with a girl who always gives me dirty looks... I don't know why.

Anyway, I think that's all for now. I am freaking exhausted... the boss found out I didn't put in enough hours at work last week and I had to make them up today. Ah, being an animator is cool but it sure don't match getting faded and playing music. Here's to the dream, cheers to the dream.

A BEAR IS BACK IN TOWN

I WOULD LIKE TO ANNOUNCE THAT OUR DRUMMER BRENDEN IS BACK IN LA!!! HE HAS RECOVERED FROM HIS ILLNESS OF UNDETERMINED CAUSE (TMPT?) AND WE ARE NOW BOOKING GIGS. YES! LIVE GIGS! THAT"S RIGHT! A BEAR WITH A CAR ON TOP LIVE! THE ONLY WAY TO SEE EM! WE WILL BE PLAYING OUR FIRST GIG IN OVER SIX MONTHS AT KILKENNY"S PUB ON THE REDONDO PIER JULY !)TH! THATS JULY 10QTH!

In other news, sorry for not posting, I have been really busy. I am now animating pretty much full time at Image Metrics, which is pretty cool, but tiring. But I have been jamming with some new people and been playing a bit down on the Boardwalk in Venice and Santa Monica as well as partying. Hopefully you will start seeing alot of new stuff from us soon. We are going to go back into the studio and work on our album in a couple of weeks and lay down some brand new songs.

So I guess noting really new for now, but just hang tight and try to relax, don't get too caught up in the future, just take a deep breath and let your muscles loosen and be grateful for being alive. Everything will be just fine and soon we will have a killer party.

peace

A BEAR
